Kevin Spacey nhận đề cử Emmy
"Mad Men"và "30 Rock" là hai tác phẩm dẫn đầu danh sách đề cử tại giải thưởng điện ảnh của Mỹ dành cho thể loại phim truyền hình lần thứ 60.

Mad Men của đài AMC dẫn đầu danh mục phim truyền hình dài tập, trong đó có đề cử cho Nam diễn viên xuất sắc. Còn 30 Rock chiếm tới 17 đề cử trong danh mục phim hài, với đề cử Nam/Nữ diễn viên xuất sắc cho Alec Baldwin và Tina Fey. Bên cạnh những quán quân đề cử là những bộ phim truyền hình nổi tiếng với khán giả Mỹ như Grey's Anatomy (từng giành giải Emmy 2007 cho Nữ diễn viên phụ xuất sắc), Friday Night Lights hay The Wire.

Lễ trao giải Emmy diễn ra tại nhà hát Nokia (Los Angeles, Mỹ) và được truyền hình trực tiếp trên kênh ABC, vào ngày 21/9.
